Super basic story that’s really well done. This movie is…dark to say the least, and I appreciate the chances it took. The plot sort of fools the audience in a way where it conceals what the ultimate purpose is until the final few scenes. There was a character in particular that seemed interesting but was underdeveloped and seemingly forgotten about, which was disappointing. One of those movies that I respect a lot that has a low rewatch factor. Very light 3.5.

Sound of Metal 2019
Phenomenal movie. I really liked the exploration of what happens when someone’s life changes in an instant, and the desperate attempts to make things go back to normal again. This can be applied to countless scenarios in life, from growing up to tragic events that chance the course of one’s existence.
The pacing could’ve been a little better perhaps, but the acting and story easily make up for it.

Ultra-violent black comedy. I was laughing throughout most of this movie. It’s overly silly and not hyper-focused on the story being super cohesive, but it’s well done with some great action and gore. Underrated.
