Watched this over 3 sittings but didn’t feel it too anything away. I looked forward to getting back to it each time. Took me to Tokyo and made me fall in love with the outlook of the main character. Loved how we dint have all the answers/any of the answers. Soundtrack 10/10. So uplifting. Would watch again and again.

Weird one - really surprised by the awards buzz around this film. I was expecting big things going in, despite its lack of obvious appeal I suspected there may have been something special about it. Crazy sexy cool. Read something about how the scene where Anora is being held down by the Russian’s is troubling to some people who felt it trivialised abuse of woman. I felt like it was quite an uncomfortable watch to be fair and don’t think it diminished the violence. Also aware I could be wrong. If so hmu.
