Akira 1988
It feels like sacrilege to give it anything less than 5 Stars. In all honesty the deeper undertones of the world the film takes place in are actually very worth looking at, but you've gotta watch it like 4 times to even notice the undertones.

Fist of the North Star 1986

Young Guns 1988
I like this film far more than I should. It's "OMG FRIENDSHIP" to the point of ALMOST homo-eroticism carried through with an all instrumental 1980s, electric guitar heavy soundtrack. All that set against the backdrop of the wild west, with Emilio Estevez delivering an unhinged Billy the Kid interpretation. It's campy 1980s garbage, but I love it.

SPL: Kill Zone 2005
Who actually cares about plot? I'm serious, if you're watching these kinds of films for the plot, you're an idiot. You come to this movie for fight choreography and Donnie Yen kicking ass. It has all that. It has 2 of the most badass martial arts scenes in martial arts movie history. They're brilliant.
