Made for fans. If you go into it knowing that, you’ll know EXACTLY what to expect. Excruciatingly mediocre from another perspective - if this is someone’s intro into the franchise, I highly doubt they’ll be a fan afterwards. Clearly too focused on pleasing fans rather than making the cinematic leap worthwhile, coming across too forced and a little awkward at times when actors are supposed to force out a famous line, almost pausing for an applause afterwards.
