While Opus was a worthy watch and didn’t give me the feeing of wasting my time it certainly didn’t captivate me and give me the threat induced tension it asked for.
I can see what the production was going for and I believe going down a few different routes it might have achieved it more, instead however it creates yet another secret cult horror.
If you’re into the “isn’t what it seems to be” cult horror/thriller then you’ll be fine but I believe for what the film was going for and the potential power it could have emitted I felt quite underwhelmed.

A classic Scorsese gangster flick only this time with some more added prowess creating a fresh look on his infamous works.
The story adapted from the Infernal Affairs series works so well when paired with the new gang/police orientated story.

    Its characters. There are some…

I felt like it was very self indulgent, focusing on what Coppola wanted to be made rather then how it would be made.

The story in my opinion wasn’t explained enough, almost shown as if the viewer was already meant to know the film like they wrote it too.

    The names cast in…

A very slick and stylish spy thriller in the world of John Le Carré more than your average Hollywood spy flick which was a very refreshing change to see.
While it is a film you need to stay involved in, the heavy dialogue/information/twists and turns getting thrown around is key to the film but very engaging also.
The overall look and style of the film is where it excels, the characters, the visuals, the soundtrack it all works together to…
