Gone Girl 2014
Such a good movie; perfect pacing and a story laid out in such a digestible way, despite it having lots of twists and turns. Absolutely spot on casting and what has to be the most ideal modern-Affleck role imaginable. There’s really nothing like this and I love it more every time I come back to it.

The only thing holding this movie back is just not quite sticking the landing with the end. I think it was close, but the conflict seemed kinda last minute thrown together and the “message” was a little muddied. But for Mickey 17 the means justifies the end because the journey to the end of this movie is an absolute trip. It’s a wonderful moviegoing experience, smart and effective writing, and far funnier than I had any idea it would be. …
