An interesting film shot entirely on a wide angle lens and from the POV of the spirit. The use of a wide lens leaves nothing to hide and shows the complete harmony of the acting, filming, and set movements. It portrays a predatory relationship between a child and adult. However, what makes up for it is the deep dive into the experiences of a grieving child traumatised by abuse, loss, and his journey of understanding love and friendship. The world the story is set in is filled with symbolism of different kinds of love. Very poetic. Beautiful opening and ending music.

A very goofy dark comedy with a cute romantic dynamic between the two leads. It takes on classic B-grade horror movie tropes and presents them with a unique and interesting story. The lighting and colour-grading was beautiful in various scenes and April Consalo’s performance as a manic pixie dream girl was exceptionally iconic. I can see this film as becoming a cult classic.
