Silver Linings Playbook 2012
I really enjoyed this movie, which is rare for me with a rom com. It's a good mix of seriousness and laughable moments. My favorite part is probably the conversation in Pat's kitchen discussing Philly sports because I can imagine my father in law's family having a very similar conversation.

The Shawshank Redemption 1994
Watched this movie when I was wayyyy too young to understand what was going on, but it's #1 on my list for a few reasons.
It was my dad's #1 growing up.
It has amazing character development through a life I hope to never know personally.
It has a quote that can transcend generations. "Get busy living, or get busy dying"
