TEAR DOWN THE WALLS OF JERICHO
what a great depiction of stubborn love. the humour, especially in that second act, was so enjoyable even when certain parts of the plot dragged. the relationship was particularly compelling because as an audience u r rooting for their love even when the characters themselves are not. having done this as a class screening, hearing the laughs of others in the theater gave me permission to really embrace the screwball moments. Clark gable and Claudette colbert’s quick witted dialogue created such strong chemistry on screen. And Frank Capra brings it together by always knowing how to make the heart warm

Reservoir Dogs 1992
My favorite thing about this film is that these unique characters feel characteristic of their own unique world. From the beginning, Tarantino had a way of creating a universe that is distinctly his vision. To tie the charm together, the performances are near perfection and make you care enough to sympathize with the victims yet simultaneously cheer for the villain's depravity (Michael Madsen, I'm looking at you).

Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Wild Bunch, and one my suitemate said but I had never seen: Badlands. Absolutely loved it, it’s absolutely hilarious in its exaggeration and now that I notice it, the tone. Total slow-mo…

"Where? And do what? Run? Hide? Frank Lucas don't run from nobody, baby."
Oh my goodness what a great good cop bad guy movie this was. My favorite aspect was that Frank Lucas was not any pimped out chinchilla wearing criminal (except once) or greased slick mob guy, but a subtle southerner who as well happened to be a businessman (just not in the right business). Denzel Washington truly dried the cement of his legacy with this movie between Training…
