I will disagree with most people on this one, I enjoyed this film.

I think the elements of spy espionage are done really well. Building suspense and using action to drive the plot forward.

I think the cast does really well in particular Anthony Mackie who I thought brings an innovative look of the new Captain America.

I believe the marketing for the film was poor potentially spoiling several plot elements.

    Good watch.

    Notting Hill

A classic movie portraying the theme of love and one chance encounters. I was compelled with the old-fashioned setting of the movie and presence of 90s movie writing.

At times non-sensical, the brief appearance of the boyfriend and Will’s inate quality of forgiving so quickly. This illustrates the depth of Julia Robert’s acting as she is tasked with portraying a complex lead with unfavourable characteristics but still compels the audience to understand her actions.

A classic that is a classic for a reason.

Let me put this in perspective.
From my sisters POV: Her phone was more entertaining than the movie due to the complex story structure and overload of individual character stories.
From my POV: A risk paid off by Marvel by showcasing amazing visuals and introducing some interesting characters to the world of the MCU. This film is surprisingly funny and the cast are likeable.  I don’t understand the hate from the critics while this film has a lot of exposition…

liked the direction this film was heading to in the first act however it feels like the expectation of ‘knives out’ weighs too heavily on this movie making the plot seem like a glass onion, hollow as fuck.

daniel craig as a british detective saves this.
