After watching this movie, I now understand why it was said that this book was impossible to make into a film. It felt like I was watching a summary of the story. None of the scenes were well played out and major revelations made by characters or any subplots were just shoved into the story with little explanation or context. Another oddity, I am not sure where the whole “sound weapons” came from and it didn’t really fit the world well. I did enjoy seeing the Baron float away both in excitement and in death.
