  Stafford and I, maybe in part due to the perilous motorcycle ride through Da Nang and the subsequent realisation that the VIP seat & XL bag of popcorn combo only cost £4, went into this film thoroughly exhilarated.

  Completely underwhelmed. 

  Classic style over substance here. Utter narrative dissonance - completely alienated any emotional connection. 

  Understand what it was going for… actually I don’t really: POV shot was cool for about 5 mins then it got tired. 

  Disappointing considering the book is a top 10 read for me and the story offers great material for a powerful movie.
