Vicky Krieps dominants this sparce, empty, emotional story. A wide variety of characters make each scene memorable with everything evolving around Krieps. Viggo wrote and directed masterfully along with a compelling character in the movie. This was a 5/5 for me everything was perfect. I can't wait to watch it again and again.

On paper the synopsis reads as some hum drun same old same old story and at it's base I suppose it is. However Richard Linklater and Glen Powell are the two driving creative minds that take this somewhat bland sounding story and make is something so good and entertaining. It keeps you entertained throughout.

Mad God is gross for the sake of being gross. Visuals of weird wet goopy beasts and strange gimps doing grotesque things to other disabled strange gimps this "film" leaves you with nothing particularly good. Little to no dialogue and a score that goes in one year and out the other really makes Mad God feel pointless.

  • EO

    EO

    ★★

EO is blanketed with shimmering extravagant camera work that are used to hide an incoherent random at best story about a Donkey and it's travel. EO is a donkey and that's it. Everything else that happens on screen doesn't really matter. You don't feel for anyone including EO himself. It just exists for a moment and then leaves never to be thought of again.
