  Rewatched this for Christmas after having not seen it in a couple years. This is a perfect action movie. The action scenes are exciting, the emotional scenes have real weight to them, and the comedy is effective. I could definitely be biased because I always liked this movie, but to me this is what an action movie should be.

  This was a lot to take in. This felt like every B movie from the 80’s in the best way. I had fun all the way through and I have no idea why this got all the hate it did. Perfect for a movie night with friends where you just want to laugh and have a good time

  This is a movie I watched a bunch as a teen that didn’t hold up as well on a recent rewatch. Its inoffensive if you’re a horror or slasher fan, but it’s not as strong an entry as something like the burning or even prom night. If you’re trying to complete your slasher gauntlet, check it out but there are definitely better choices.

  This movie is not as fun as the trailer wants you to think it is. If you’re gonna make a killer pants movie, go all out with it. Half way through it starts getting into commentary about consumerism and child labor and it feels really forced and disingenuous after we just watched a poor attempt at slapstick for the first half. None of the jokes really land, the social commentary misses its mark, and you’re left with a movie that’s just sort of…there. Wouldn’t even consider this a “turn off your brain and have fun” kind of movie
