Amazingly written, I was afraid that a lot of the “main cast” characters would feel flat, but in the end, this wasn’t the case at all. I think it mixed (dark) humor with serious societal questions very well. I thought this would be very Black Mirror-esque and I am extremely glad that this was not the case. To me, it ended quite uplifting and I am hopeful that the next generation can make a change. And honestly, if my high school principle would bring a block of cheese like that to the school, I’d probably also be tempted to prank him.
Beautiful animated movie. I think the movie was a bit too long, but it definitely conveys the feeling of "saying farewell" greatly. To me, the ending was just too abrupt, which felt somewhat unsatisfying.
Give the movie a watch if you're into crazy summer adventures and need a good cry.
Before the movie started, a lady from the cinema asked a young boy if he was going to watch "Spiderman", but the boy said he was going to watch "Miles". I thought it was cute at the time. But that perfectly encapsulates this movie: this is Miles' tale.
