  The Twilight Saga: New Moon 2009

  My theory that the movies themselves are Team Jacob goes unchallenged!!! The first half of this one is dynamic and engaging, and then Edward comes back. It brings me great solace that I seem to hate this character almost as much as Robert Pattinson does.

  This is how I know I’ve grown as a person: I can legitimately enjoy watching the Twilight movies.
  I’m pretty firmly Team Jacob, and I’m 99% the movie itself is, too. All their scenes are shot with a soft, warm intimacy, their chemistry is palpable and lifelike, and the camera is very comfortable letting them shine in a nice easy 2-shot. Bella and Edward barely ever get to share the frame; their scenes are cold and aggressive, and the camera…

  MY BOYS DONE DID IT AGAIN.
  I remember sobbing so hard I got a migraine while holding my mom, also crying, as the Swiss Army Man credits rolled on the living room TV. I remember thinking to myself, "I didn't know a movie could be so strange, so unexpected, so silly, and yet so impactful, and so perfectly representative of the human condition. This is a miracle, and surely this phenomenon couldn't possibly be replicated."
