  I was actually very excited going into this show, but now, having finished the first episode, I am left with extremely mixed feelings. Of course, it's very well-made with its direction from Barry Jenkins, a score by Nicholas Brittell, and convincing lead performances from Thuso Mbedu and Aaron Pierre.
