  Going into this film I was dehydrated, hungry, and generally in a foul mood. Considering those two things, this movie escaped with a pretty good review. Considering that I am almost exactly this films target audience, it’s about to get skewered. There were two things that could have made me give this film five stars 

  1. If Timothee Chalamet’s performance did something to move me

  Every woman in this film looks like they’re on the verge of either cumming or having a nervous breakdown at all times. Sophie says “I still couldn’t tell you exactly what that movies about” as the credits begin to roll. I decided to check this out after watching in the mood for love because I was interested in checking out more stuff from this director. The characters, lighting, camera movement, soundtrack, themes and seemingly everything else are so totally different.…

  This is another movie where I really empathize with the characters and i think that the emotional content of the film is really powerful. I was not a huge fan of the cinematography.
