A 5-year historical sweep from 1948 America onwards which leaves no surprises and to how we ended up where we are today with leaders like Trump and Musk. Cheeky, playful, gusty. The film follows the Irish hip hop band Kneecap (played by the band themselves) as they launch a career where they rap in their native Irish language. The acting in this Guy Ritchie coded, ketamine infused movie is great. With an accomplished script that connects the Irish language movement in the North with a long but very alive history of anti-Imperial resistance.

A husband falls mysteriously to his death with only his wife and 11-year old son with sight impairments present. A court hearing follows, breaking down all possible causes in a relentless and rhetorical hunt for the guilty. This film’s slow, subtle plot has many words but very little said. While very little is known or seen, a great deal is perceived.

An elegant film about a confused, chaotic queer. Enjoyable with a stylish sensibility - mixing a striking ‘70s colour palette with a modern touch. At times, though, the script feels a bit direct and could use more spark.
