Manchester by the Sea 2016
Some films really shine in their subtlety, and this is certainly one. I love the way that 'Manchester by the Sea' is able to tell a candid story of a broken family in such a gentle way- no melodrama needed. It's narratively bloated at times, but more importantly, the film succeeds at painting a realistically nuanced picture of grief.
