Disturbing and sad. I can never get enough of David Lynch--the way he executes is unmatched. He portrays simple, honest concepts in such jarring, abstracted ways. I especially love the emotionality in this one (Richard White does exceptionally well!), as well as the use of color and the use of physical art to add dimension to the narrative.
This one is a gem. I sat back at the end and thought about my own relationship to family, to childhood, to trauma, but most of all, to art.
