The Witch 2015
Originally, I believe I watched the film and maybe fell asleep or simply wasn’t interested enough to care. Upon watching it years later I was gripped by this film in a way a “horror” film hasn’t done for me in a long time. I enjoyed the trapped almost claustrophobic feeling the film provides and while its ending is bittersweet and dark I think it makes sense for the film. I’d recommend this film without a second thought especially if you’re looking for a film that will pull you into its universe and truly feel for the characters. IMO a 10/10.

Look Back 2024
Look Back takes amazing animation and a 1 hour runtime but does so much more than films twice the length. The movie sheds light on the realities of the manga industry while illustrating an imperfect friendship of two people trying to find their way. Highly recommend!!
