  Me personally, if I were wanting to depict a “Brave New World” I would take the new franchise lead, given him his own villain (giancarlo esposito was right there!!!), a compelling arc, interesting dynamics with more than one other side character, then maybe throw in some solid themes while I’m at it. This movie instead reheats some of Marvel’s stalest leftovers and tries to rehabilitate the evil president because he *checks notes* has a daughter? And he’s sharing the big…

  Y’know, at first I was furious because I didn’t really look at the website and ended up paying extra for a damn “ScreenX” showing (which was just two bonus screens on the sides that only turned on during the action to show a teeny bit more about the unimportant shit going on outside the frame).

  American Fiction 2023

  the satire was super fun (if a bit dated), melodrama was a little bit of a lot, and sterling k brown stole every scene he was in and even some of the ones for which he wasn’t. it sagged a bit in the middle too, but i thought the ending was a really bold choice and a solid end note for the movie. 

  But also, the road untraveled seemed a lot more interested, so I really wanna check out the book when I get the chance🙏🏽
