I cannot give it less than 5 stars, the nostalgia… I waited so long to watch this cause Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory holds a super special place in my heart and I didn’t want this movie to ruin it, and it didn’t! Not by far as good as Willy Wonka but still such a fun, good and warm movie with some of the clever humour as Willy Wonka had.
Also maybe it really helped that I was eating…

Beautiful, disturbing, exciting and very interesting. The scenes were just amazing, costumes were wonderful and the story unsettling at times but in the end comforting. Would definitely watch again!

I really want to, but just can’t fully agree on Bey’s vocals in the songs… just sounds too “flawless” and I need to hear the pain and emotion. That being said: amazing movie, painful and beautiful stories and moving history and music. I LOVE ETTA JAMES
