  Honestly,
  It wasn't long enough.

  The Brutalist at its core is a film about art, the struggle of creating art and the pain & experiences that goes into art told in a post WWII America at the height of promotion for the "American Dream" where the first half sells it to you as a story of an immigrant coming into a country of prosperity and hope in the face of struggle & the second half brings it all crashing down.

  I will start this review by saying I am not a fan of Yorgos Lanthimos. I find his films to be incredibly self indulgent and messy.

  Poor Things is no different, the film portrays itself as a powerful feminist film but instead of actually exploring said feminism in a interesting or nuanced way Lanthimos says fuck that and throws in 20 sex scenes.
