  That hair metal song undermines the scenes it’s in, but this movie looks great. The camera work is fantastic. Argento is experimental and surreal here. The scene in the apartment and the peephole shot are worth watching the movie for.

  I went up to five stars because this movie has always fascinated me. It is a serious story that deals with racism and colonialism, but it has comedy and a melodramatic love story. It is influenced by Italian westerns, which were inspired by Japanese samurai movies, and it is a great and prideful Chinese film.
