Kill 2023
I expected this to be much better than it was. Pretty disappointed. Little to no real personality in the main character. The bandits had no real driving force outside of being bandits. They tried for some with the possible pivot to kidnapping but it went basically nowhere. The geography of the train is shaky at best and the action scenes, while having some decent choreography at times, also have the camera move that seems to lack a coherent spatial awareness.

Outside of the original Godzilla, this probably has the strongest story of what I've watched so far. It introduces the first truly evil human protagonist with Nelson. He kidnaps the Shobijin, murders the Infant Island natives, doesn't care at all about any destruction Mothra causes because of his actions, and from the bit of exposition on his backstory, those are just the latest a long list of his crimes.
