Folk horror at its finest. Deeply grotesque and unsettling. Loved the costumes, especially Nosferatu’s seventeenth century garb compared to the more-modern (1840s) garb of the other characters. Lily Rose-Depp was fantastic.
I will always appreciate Eggers for his attention to historical detail. It makes all of his movies feel exceptional. There are some non-English parts where Nosferatu speaks what seems-to-be Latin or Romanian? I assumed Romanian because it sounds like a mix of German and Latin. HE IS SPEAKING DACIAN,…
