  The Shining: Forwards and Backwards 2011

  I couldn't find this anywhere so decided to take it into my own hands and put it together. One cut is the original without the ending credits at the start or the end and the other is just simply with them on.

  I think both cuts are interesting and provide some new theories and as the description says bizarre juxtapositions and startling synchronicities.

  A man in crisis, a storyteller with no story to tell, a director in need of direction.

  Fellini knows how to craft compositions, how to manipulate lighting, who to capture on screen and the details in the persons face, the setting and the movements. This film is as thought provoking as it is incredible, blending dreams and anxieties seen through the eyes of 'Guido.' This movie ponders that art may be imitating life.
