Generic, some pretty creative scares, but nothing new or interesting.
Patrick Wilson’s so hot.

One of the most visually beautiful movies of all time, even with it’s sometimes horrific imagery. The cinematography does a great job of isolating Coraline in each room she’s in. Each shot is so perfect. I love how the animation creates its own style for this film in comparison to Paramorman, but there are still prominent signs of Laika’s animation in there. After watching the film I did some digging online and the amount of details in every frame is mind blowing, some of them only make the film more bone chilling.
Incredibly well crafted and endlessly creative in bringing its terrifying story to life.
