Absurdist Sci-Fi Adventure.
This movie was a lot of fun and surprisingly funny in a very obscure way. The cast do a great job of eating up the screen and it seems like everyone was having fun. Glad movies like this exist.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 2006
Better set pieces, plot, and action sequences than the first film. This is where they started to try and turn this adventure into an epic. Really cool grand storytelling, but a bit too long in the tooth with the superb sequences lasting just a bit too long. The curse and rules of pirate curses were a bit confusing and our protagonists are starting to turn into super heroes with some laughable feats of athleticism.

Excellent swashbuckling fun! Great characters, set pieces, action, and effects. A great movie back when movies were fun. Though, the rules of the pirate curses were really confusing and I had to look it up.
