  The first 50 minutes are a nail biting suspense, with a sense of dread looming and full of twists and turns. The second half slows down a bit and relies a bit too much on the violence and action. Some decent performances and the score gives a haunting tense sensation further adding to the suspense of the film.

  Pixar really started at the top with the spectacular mega hit Toy Story, which unfortunately their second effort, A Bug’s Life, doesn’t quite reach the highs while still being a fun and entertaining film for the whole family.  

  The story is not that unique to begin with and there is some shoddy moments of animation that doesn’t quite hold up today.
