    Wow, what a step up. I already thought Rise was solid, but this? Way better. Never thought a movie about talking apes could hit this hard, but here we are.

    Yeah, it was pretty predictable, but for a 2014 blockbuster, this thing kinda slapped. The action, the emotion, the world-building—it all just worked. Also, I was 100% right about Maurice, because I love him more than ever now. And Caesar? I’d run through a brick wall for him.

    On the flip side… Koba is just a shitter version of Scar.

    Oh god. Just finished this. Cool concept, solid special effects for 2001, and it definitely gave me some nostalgic early-2000s movie vibes… but man, this was a rough watch.

    Seven Years in Tibet was a great journey, though it had a really slow start. It’s funny because Brad Pitt’s accent? Wow. It’s so terrible it’s almost impressive how much he struggles to keep it consistent throughout the movie. But despite that, his performance still shines, and he brings a surprising amount of depth to the role.

    What really stood out to me was the story itself. It’s such a unique, fascinating tale—how a Nazi mountaineer ends up becoming friends…
