  I just realised that I've watched this movie 4 times now.
  I certainly must like to feel human pain a lot, you know, rage, anger, death wishes, threads, blackmail in meticulous ways, lawyers doing their thing, fear, and most importantly, love. This picture makes you feel the love that they feel for each other from the start till the very end, and it does it so good you wish you could somehow give them a hug and stop Charlie from cutting his arm.

  Also Scarlett Johansson, Laura Dern, Adam Driver, Ray Liotto and Alan Alda are so freaking good here... maybe that's the reason too.
