  Don’t let the practical effects, cinematography, and editing fool you, this movie sucks. 

  This is a commentary on what Hollywood would do to aging stars from a very biased and single minded point of view. The pacing in this film is atrocious with the events of the first act all happening in a very contrived way at break neck speed while the third act drags sluggishly as we’re just begging for the credits.

  Why did no one tell me how fucking horny this movie was???

  Anyone who reads my reviews knows I’m not usually a fan of remakes. That being said, if the original is 102 years old, I don’t mind seeing what you have to offer. On top of that, Robert Eggars is directing so there is some hope.
