My favourite bit was when Kong looked at all the people running for their lives and he looked so sad and empathetic towards them, then body slams the big ranga into another building full of people.

A perfect culmination of everything great about good ol’ Wessie boy. I instantly fell in love with the wacky characters, the beautiful scenery and the unorthodox dialogue. It had great pacing, a groovy score and an oh so wonderful use of stop motion animation for those long distance shots. Beeeaaaauuutttifuulll! What a lovely movie to watch, just simply gorgeous. The animation style was different yet familiar and established the films own personality, differentiating it from so many recent animated movies that all look the same. The story was original, interesting and had so many funny ways of implementing traditional elements from the basic story of Santa Claus. It is definitely going in the Christmas movie hall of fame and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new movie to watch come Chrimbo time instead of rewatching Home Alone, The Polar Express and Arthur Christmas for the one millionth time.
