DuckTales: The Movie – Treasure of the Lost Lamp 1990
The DuckTales movie doesn’t really have much of a complex plot, it feels more like a regular 22 minute episode just stretched to 74 minutes. The story doesn’t have any big stakes, so it’s hard to get too invested, and it definitely doesn’t feel like it has enough going on to be a full movie. I don't know who I want to come back more, Rick Moranis or Frank Ocean.
The part of the movie I enjoyed the most was Becky’s struggle between wanting to play football and still be seen as feminine. She deals with feeling like she has to choose between being tough and staying true to who she is as a girl. I thought the movie had a lot of heart and I enjoyed the kids in the film but I feel like all the characters were just slightly developed and not given that much thought.
