  After a rewatch I've changed my mind slightly.

  I'm not sure if it's intended but I felt the way this film is set up the viewer doesn't really take 3/4 of the movie seriously because it's essentially written as a comedy until everybody sees the comet heading towards earth.

  The tone then darkens and we, like the rest of the characters only then start to take it seriously and the fear then creeps in. The beauty of this is that…

  Denis, Denis, Denis!

  WOW - Part one was absolutely fantastic, I am a HUGE fan of the book, it is probably my favourite Sci-Fi novel and part one did it justice, beautifully.

  It is stunning, the cinematography is out of this world. Momoa as Duncan is perfect and I couldn't have chosen a better fit. Oscar Isaac was fantastic and portrayed Leto as the kind but powerful Duke he is.

  I just loved this film and I cannot wait for part 2 which I have no doubt will be even better.
