  Obviously I’m here because of The Substance. I love going back to debut films of directors who are becoming, or have become, a household name. 

  Coralie will be a household name and is one of my favorite rising stars. She’s stylistic, bold, and delivers hauntingly entertaining cinema. I’m a major fan.

  Revenge is a solid entry and shows flashes of artistic brilliance (and brutality) throughout. Coralie sure loves blood and guts, huh? And close ups of people chewing on food. Well done!

  I wanted to love this but I felt like it fell flat. 

  While a commendable attempt (monologues and flashbacks are never particularly easy) at something profound, the buildup lacks and seems to hit a wall.

  We only go so far in this one. Parasite is leaps and bounds better than this film, but is still worth a watch imo.
