Your telling me this was Tarkovskyβs student film?
The fact this was made before his first feature length and is still this good is crazy. I canβt wait to get back to watching the feature films. Starting with Solaris sometime this week.
Movies like these always make me cry, I wish more of these indie grungy coming of age films were made today.
It's an odd feeling that I can't describe, but I often find some parts of my younger self in these kinds of films.
I loved a lot about this. A short and bittersweet film with a great lead actor. Go give this a watch people.
Didn't actually need the subtitles for these Irish people surprisingly. I guess it's just the Scottish then.
Anyways as for the film. Angela's Ashes touched me way more than I thought it would. This just felt so real and in touch with the people it was trying to present. The film is really sad but it was so clever in the way it managed to find and balance those happy and funny moments alongside the more sad and tragic ones.β¦
