  rewatching this made me realize how much of an awesome train wreck this movie is, with igor and annie being the only two characters that bring the humanity into the film.

  so many phenomenal moments, scenes, and SUCH good acting. but i was almost missing a framework? i was itching for the world building of the florida project combined with the lived experience of anora but maybe that will come with the next award-winning indie film!

  definitely agree with maricella that this movie felt like a passion project. i thought its representation of ptsd as a ghost from one's past following them around incessantly and only going away once you admit they exist was very creative and well done. but editing was odd and ending felt almost too feel-good? this could have killed as a more artistic movie but i fear they tried to toe a mainstream line simultaneously
