Leaving the IMAX theater wondering how I ever thought Nolan’s best work was a question up for debate.

I’ve heard many say that this film took until the second or third watch to click/emotionally connect for them, and now I fully understand. Watching it at 30 instead of 20, my third viewing (first in ~8 years), Interstellar truly feels like it transcends the medium itself. I love Memento, I love The Prestige; those are great movies. This is something else…

*tears streaming down my face as the movie cuts to black* "We are so back"

How did this give me more anxiety than any Safdie bros movie ever?

How did this have a better enemies to friends storyline than Wicked?

From the very first frame (which takes like 3 minutes to get to due to the most preroll logos I’ve ever seen??) this is the cutest movie ever created. Absolutely beautiful, some stunning cinematography - and the lack of dialogue…

This is like the juiciest climactic midseason episode of a thrilling season of television. No setup, no bullshit exposition, just right into the shit - “here’s the situation, figure it out”. A spy thriller mixed with an Agatha Christie-esque whodunit. And omg Pierce Brosnan just CHEWING the scenery.

Soderbergh is 2/2 for me for 2025 releases!

My only criticism is maybe why was this filmed in astigmatism-vision? Every single dark scene I kept thinking “are my glasses dirty?” with how soft all the lighting sources are lmao

An essential item in the filmography of THE GOAT

It’s crazy that even with how hokey and badly written this movie is Emma Stone is still running circles around everyone on screen, even Tucci

Funnier than it has any business being

Stellar job from RPat, and I respect that Mark Ruffalo is trying to compete with Sebastian Stan in the "post-Marvel career" competition (though I thought Mark’s SNL Trump impression became heavy handed by the end). I chucked plenty of times. Despite containing a lot of ingredients that are my shit, the final recipe just didn't land for me - especially the back half/third, where I was regularly checking my watch/admiring my new pair of galaxy foams on my feet out…
