i don’t really know how to feel about this movie. the stereotypicalness of all the japanese characters is absurd obviously, maybe problematic, although in some ways, I think, it just shows how the two experience what is around them. apart from that there is so much to appreciate: the motion and rhythm of the movie, the (imo stunning) cinematography, the mood, tokyo and even, I think, a good story that knows how to end. that being said, I did really like it after all - as the title says, a movie to lose yourself
