The film definitely brought on tension, a ton of it, the build-up definitely was there.
I liked how one could see the rage of the father build up slowly, while his son stayed calm and believed in him, while wanting to be like his college friend and in a way trying to take care of things for his father.
Also the remarks about his smell, when driving at some point the mother of the rich family even has her feet…
