Did the classic British move of making the dialogue 90% clever quips being shot back and forth between people. Made the dialogue feel kinda unrealistic to me but also it was pretty clever and that might just be how British people talk.
It was surprisingly slow and methodical which was refreshing. Focussed more on the spy as an investigator and behavioural analyst than as an action hero; perhaps inspired by Le Carré’s brand of espionage.

Dreamlike. I thought the last 30 minutes really pulled everything together in a satisfying way.
There were a few scenes that managed a level of tension that highlight Kurosawa’s affinity for, and skill in directing horror movies like his previous work in Pulse and Cure.
Takashi Miike went crazy on this one. So many scenes just exuded cool; unfortunately, too many scenes also exuded cum and other bodily fluids.
It is crazy gross and almost nonsensical but also a cool experience to watch so i don’t know where to stand on it.
