Sonic the Hedgehog 3 2024
Very zillennial coded and I absolutely ate up every second of it. I love how canonically annoying Sonic is, Jim Carrey put his whole eggussy into those performances, and unaging James Marsden was hot for a bit! Only downsides were that they didn’t let Stone be as gay as I needed him to be and they should’ve let Shadow shoot more people with big guns on the motorcycle for longer.

They just don’t make movies like this anymore! Charming and fun, love a good redemption arc forced by cute kids and animals! Popper really did need to give those penguins to the zoo keeper a lot sooner though… I think this performance more than any other starkly highlights how much Heather Shaw from TikTok looks like Jim Carrey.

Baby Lee Pace!!!!!!
Very reminiscent of Time Bandits, Princess Bride, Doctor Parnassus, and the like. The main lead is a delightful little girl who instantly draws you into the story, and Lee Pace is just exquisite. Definitely a must-see, I can’t believe I’d never even heard of it before.

Hedwig consistently has the absolute worst taste in music and I love that so much for him. Casey getting Stockholmed is a weird choice, and why is The Beast’s whole thing just hugging now? The first twist is silly, the second one kiiiinda made up for it. Unfortunately this is corny and not as good as the other two… It feels like it forgot what made the first two so good and is just giving into fanboys or something idk (although I do love everyone color coordinating). The fight scenes suck bc Bruce Willis went to the beach that makes you Old!
