The films technical aspects are phenomenal. I could definitely see how someone completely unaware of the history of racism in America would be moved to the side of the whites based on the story and the portrayal of African Americans. The film is so powerful and the proof of its lasting effects are endless. It’s the animalistic portrayal of African Americans and the white savior complex continue to seep into modern society to this day.
