Jeremy irons absolutely kills it, but sadly his performance just isn’t enough to save this film from it’s sheer tedium. By far my least favorite Cronenberg film so far.
Everything about this movie makes me mad. I don’t even want to talk about how infuriating literally every facet of this.. thing is to me, so I won’t. If someone put a gun to my head and told me to watch this shit again, they’d probably just wind up blowing their own head off about halfway through. Gods this movie sucks, and it’s so boring too. Can’t think of a single person alive who would genuinely consider this shit profound, but if you’re pretentious enough then I guess you can like it so that I don’t have to.
You already know what Hostel is, it does absolutely nothing to break free of every expectation you have going into it which isn’t a compliment.
