Wicked 2024
Not usually my kind of movie and not something I’ll rush to watch again at all, but was very well done. CGI was mainly believable & didn’t take you out of the movie too much, the main actors were really great and I can imagine stage show fans felt like it did it justice.

Sadly I’m back to record my disappointment in this movie.
Many bones to pick including shitty CGI, poor character development, weird timelines and Mezcal’s unconvincing “rage” but overall it just lacked any magic.
Bright spots were the emperors & of course Denzel. What a dude.

War for the Planet of the Apes 2017
My favourite film of this series (so far, haven’t watched the new release yet). Such a fun first 30 minutes especially, love the guerrilla warfare vibes and while Woody Harrelson can overact, he’s never not entertaining. Hope the new one is as good as this

Really enjoyed this! Unsure if it’s “best picture” Oscar material but it is beautifully directed and well acted.
