Pretty fun flick. There’s some good laughs in here and it’s quite entertaining. Also, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey both deliver great performances.

Better Man 2024
Definitely better than the other musical biopics of recent. It’s definitely charming, and the monkey works at least some of the time. There’s also some solid visual set pieces. On the other hand, the film does drag a bit, and fails to offer anything different narratively than its contemporaries.
So yeah, definitely a decent watch, but the musical biopic trope is a well beaten dead horse.

Cocaine Bear 2023
Cocaine Bear needs no introduction, or build up; you see this to watch a bear on coke. The film is at its best when the bear is on screen and it certianly is good fun, however the padding between bear moments can be tedious and dry at times. Give me more coke bear!

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish 2022
Non stop fun from start to finish.
On top of it being incredibly fun, it has a very solid plot, and really well developed characters. I haven't visited the 'Shrek Expanded Universe' in years, but I found myself deeply caring about the characters journeys both internal and external.
For me it perhaps misses that little spark that I find in films such as 'Finding Nemo' and 'The Incredibles', but that might be somewhat of a personal bias based on nostalgia.
Go watch this movie; it's very good!
